Ep016 – Erwin Guidry and the “Marlin 7 Spinner”

After 50 Years in the Drilling Industry, Erwin has finally retired and is enjoying his Wife, Children, Grandkids, Family!  He has worked all around the world and has many stories to tell.

I was fortunate to have worked with Erwin… and thankful he agreed to be a Guest on Oilfield Talk.

A few days after recording, I got a text from Erwin and he said he has been remembering more stories and writing those story ideas down and now has many, MANY more to tell…  you bet I will be recording Erwin again as soon as possible!

The recording environment wasn’t that great… on a sidewalk next to the main road… at an O&G Hiring Event in Lafayette that had people lined up around the hotel… and traffic was crazy.

Please pardon the sound quality… did my best, but there are still a few clicks, hisses and car horns.

I will be putting some pictures on the Oilfield Talk Facebook page of Erwin’s new business endeavor…  Custom Metal Business such as Metal Art, Smudge Pots, Fire Pits… creating Custom Metal Designs with his CNC Cutter and Laser.
